Diced gizzard in fried rice |
Gizzard replaced liver in 2016. I remember when I used to cook cow liver, dice and add to fried rice for that brown colour and extra protein. It's now easier to find gizzard than liver, so I tried and it delivered. Adding gizzard by my taste palate is way better. This is the only way I can enjoy gizzard because I don't like them. When it's diced in fried rice, I love. I tried to post this gizzard rice recipe in January, some cooking pics won't just upload. So yesterday, I cooked with the same recipe and it still tasted really good.

Gizzard fried rice ingredients:
- 3 cups basmati rice
- 1 table spoon curry
- seasoning cubes plus monosodium glutamate (white maggi)
- Salt
- Beef stock
- 1 small plate green peas
- 3 medium sized onion
- I large red bell pepper (tatashey)
- One medium sized green pepper
- 4 large carrots
- 12 pieces cooked gizzard
Sautee ingredients in oil with more seasoning cubes else you have tasteless fried rice. You can add curry to these if you like, I didn't. |
