Yesterday, on Tuesday February 23, 2016, at the Lagos Business School campus in Ajah, Lagos, leading Education not for profit organisation Aim Higher Africateamed up with Forbes Africa to launch the first in its series of entrepreneurial discussions.
Technology and the Youngpreneur brought together members of Forbes 30 under 30 to address the issue of Millennials and how they are using technology to create innovative solutions to build businesses that consequently bridge the gap between poverty and prosperity.
The panel was made up of leading young business experts Rex Idaminabo of Achievers Media Group, Adebola Williams, co-founder Red, Mary Ojulari, CFO CNBC and Forbes Africa, Edose Ohen founder glazed doughnuts and Ink Eze, editor Bella Naija weddings. Founder of Aim Higher Africa and Forbes Africa correspondent Peace Hyde moderated the discussion.
The panel highlighted that 2016 was the year that millennials need to think about how to use adaptive technology in creative ways to solve challenges. They predicted financial literacy will be key in a dire economic climate and how millennials use tech savvy tools to mitigate the looming recession will also be crucial for survival.
