URGENT HIRE: ARCHITECT
LOCATION: ABUJA

Role Summary:
Responsible for planning, design development and execution of building projects with team which may include interpreting, organizing and coordinating project team assignments.


Responsibilities:

·         Researches, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials;
·         Consults with client to determine functional and spatial requirements of new structure or renovation, and prepares information regarding design, specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, and construction time;
·         Plans layout of project and integrates engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval.
·         Assists to prepare scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.
·         Administers construction contracts and conducts periodic on-site observation of work during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
·         Represents client/company in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
·         Discussing the objectives, requirements and budget of a project and keeping within financial budgets and deadlines;
·         Preparing and presenting feasibility reports and design proposals to the client;
·         Using IT in design and project management, specifically using computer-aided design software;
·         Regular site visits to check on progress, ensuring that the project is running on time and to budget;
·         Advising the client on the practicality of their project and resolving problems and issues that arise during construction;
·         Ensuring that the environmental impact of the project is managed;
·         May prepare operating and maintenance manuals, studies, and reports;
·         May direct activities of workers engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents.

Qualification and Skills
·         MSc. Architecture/ Surveying/Estate Management or any other relevant degree with a minimum of five (5) years’ post-graduation experience.
·         Experience in the Real Estate is required.
  • Requisite certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Expertise in Revit and CAD;
  • Ability to use modeling software;
  • Familiarity with relevant compliance programs;
  • Strong knowledge of model building codes;
  • Excellent at visual communication;
  • Project management skills;
  • Effective team working skills;
  • Integrity and trustworthiness.
